So, I have Adobe Creative Cloud on my computer and really need to start utilizing all of this powerful software! I want to be able to confidently use Photoshop, but for now, I’m messing around with Lightroom.
Lightroom has much fewer tools and settings than Photoshop, so it is friendlier to someone who is new to processing their photos like I am. Here are a few pictures that I worked on last night along with their pre-processed counterparts. Feedback and criticism would be greatly appreciated! I really want to get a good feel for using Lightroom and Photoshop so once summer comes I’ll have to start doing some tutorials!
Kind of lazy with this one, just threw on a Lightroom preset and liked the color scheme.
Just darkened this one up a little bit.
Got “fancy” with this one. Reduced color saturation of area of photo that does not include the player as well as slightly reducing exposure and then increasing the exposure and highlights of the batter.
Adjusted exposure of picture to highlight the title of the newspaper.
Made the fur black and white and boosted the clarity of the fur.
Picture taken by Ashley Bunner.
This picture taken by my girlfriend was really good, but after cooling down the sky as well as lightening the exposure and then warming up the library and increasing the highlights I really like the way this one came out.
One of the first ones I experimented with, not really anything impressive, just a little bit of exposure adjustments.
Just took the color off of everything that was not the cat.
