I took very few pictures with my phone this past week, but today as a storm rolled through I took a panorama of the sky from the back deck and decided it would have to do. I hope you enjoy the way the sky looks as storm clouds come through and I’d love to see your pictures of storms as well. Comment a link to a picture below and I’ll check it out!
Lynchburg, Virginia is the home of my college, Liberty University, as well as home to the most stunning sunsets I have ever seen in my life. A combination of the mountains (or hills as people in the Rockies would probably claim) and the cloud conditions make for some of the most colorful sunsets imaginable. One of those such sunsets occurred during Liberty University’s baseball game against Virginia Military Institute.
Here is the first pano that I captured when I first noticed the sunset…
And another one…
Below is a gallery of some other sunsets I’ve captured during my time at Liberty.
It has been a busy week so I haven’t taken too many pictures with my phone this week, but I’ll make the most of what I have. Last night was the Liberty Women’s Lacrosse team’s home opener against Elon University. The Lady Flames pulled out a 13-9 victory over Elon and, as usual, the Lynchburg sunset was beautiful. So, for this week’s pictures of the week, I have two panoramas that I took during the game. The first is taken of the field or play while the second is a view from the field towards the rest of the campus. Because of the fast shutter speed, the picture is a little dark, but captures the colors of the sky over the mountains and gives a little bit of a silhouette of the main campus.
