Spring Break 2014…a look back

Okay, it has been way too long since Spring Break, but at least I am finally getting around to writing a post about it!

Ashley and I took a train to Washington D.C. and my brother picked us up and drove us to Pittsburgh! Going north is not exactly the ideal thing to do during Spring Break, but Ashley and I both like Pittsburgh so braving the cold was worth it! I’m actually tempted to just post links to Ashley’s post(s) about Spring Break, but I feel like I should tell it from my own perspective.

We arrived in Pittsburgh Saturday Evening and just relaxed after the long day of traveling. On Sunday, we went to church with my family and then to lunch at The Grandview Saloon on Mount Washington. Mount Washington has a beautiful view of the Pittsburgh skyline and the restaurant was on the hillside with large glass windows to give a grand view of Pittsburgh. Ashley and I brought our camera of course and I actually used my Nikon Coolpix L100 for the first time this year. In the gallery later, refer to the metadata to see which pictures were taken with the Coolpix and which were taken with the D3200. So while we waited for our food I messed around with the camera(s).

After lunch, we headed over to the top of the Duquesne Incline and took pictures from the observation deck.

Spring Break (Part 1)

It has been a while since I have posted on here and that is because Spring Break 2014 is going on. Last week I was busy writing three papers for my classes and was not able to sit down to publish a post. Now, after half a week back at home in Pittsburgh, I’m back at school, working a baseball game and I have some time to write.

Ashley and I had a great time back in Pittsburgh. We enjoyed a couple of 60+ degree days and got to stay inside on the cold and rainy ones. More to come in the next posts!
